The EU-GUGLE website finalist in the .eu WEB AWARDS 2015

On the 1st of October, the competing finalists in five categories to the .eu WEB AWARDS 2015, were announced by EURid, including the happy news that EU-GUGLE website is one of three nominated finalist in the category The BETTER WORLD (Environmental/green projects).

The competion and awards are managed by EURid, the registry that manages the .eu country code top-level domain – today with more than 3.9 million registered .eu domain names, by designing, implementing and maintaining the databases and technical infrastructure needed for .eu to be present on the Internet.

The winners of the .eu WEB AWARDS 2015 will be those five – one per category – nominees who, having been assessed against a set of evaluation criteria, receive the highest points from a jury. The award winners will be announced at an ceremony on November 18 at the Museum of Natural Sciences, Brussels. EU-GUGLE will be represented there by project coordinator Florencio Manteca Gonzales.

The EU-GUGLE website has been designed to meet the needs of this large scale EU research and development project, with multiple languages and before-, during-, and after renovation scenarios to communicate, as well as the general progress of the project.  The site’s development and day-to-day management is run by SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden, in close collaboration with Greenovate! Europe, who are responsible for the project’s Replication Campaign and ower all communication. The many partners and pilot cities of the project contribute with up to date information about the progress in their own area and in their respectively languages.  The site was constructed at Raket webb company in Gothenburg, Sweden, who have previously worked with brands such as IKEA, SVT – the Swedish public service broadcaster and TEDx Göteborg.
