On the 8 November 2016, Bratislava’s pilot leader Roman Grunner presented the innovative renovation models developed in the framework of the EU-GUGLE project at the Forum of Cities and Regions. The conference was organised by Europa Kujaw i Pomorza Association and took place in Toruń, in Poland.
During the conference, experts from associations, universities and industry discussed solutions for smarter and greener cities including different sectors such as transport, waste management and energy-efficient city lighting. In addition, the challenges related to energy-efficient refurbishment and the measures implemented in EU-GUGLE pilot cities were also introduced to the participants.
Over one hundred stakeholders from local and regional governments as well as universities participated in the conference, which was held in the framework of a project focusing on ecoinnovation in smart cities. As part of this project, the association is currently working on the production of written and audiovisual communication material to disseminate information on existing solutions for smarter European cities.
